Day 11
If you know Kevin, or have ever walked outside with him, you know he isn’t a sunshine kind of person. For someone who has played soccer his entire life, a mostly outdoor sport, Kevin hates the sun. He hates that it makes him so uncomfortable. He often tells me, “You have no idea what it is like to be me.”
(How Kevin Views a Sunny Day)
All in all, he married the right person. I hate extreme temperature. We have friends that have dubbed us their “Winter Vacation Buddies” knowing they will never get us to relax outside in the summer. Both of us are VERY fair and burn quickly. As a joke, his buddies bought us SPF 50 as part of our wedding gift calling it “the t-shirt in a bottle.” We used up that bottle and have continued to buy SPF 50 for babies in two packs.
So when Kevin was assigned to Ottawa, the first thing we did was check out the weather. Seeing the average was right around 70 he got a little excited to get away from the high temps of the I.E.
He has had a few thunderstorms which makes it a little more humid. This week temperatures are rising, making it warmer than it has been but it is still cooler than our little Riverside.
Tomorrow, the high in Riverside is supposed to be 97.
The high in Ottawa? Eighty with scattered showers this evening.
Sounds lovely.
